Geometry Nodes:
This product is a Geometry Nodes modifier setup which is applied to a curve object. Use the custom Geometry Node settings on the modifier properties to animate the bats and customize the animation. With the Geo-Node setup, you can customize the amount of bats, size of the bats, animation speed, bats distance from the curve, animation timing, random seed, random bat movement, and more!
Two Modifier Setups:
There are two curves inside the file, with two different geometry node setups. The first one is Animated Bats, where you can animate when the bats start to move along the curve, and when they get to the end. The second setup is never ending bats, where bats appear at the start of the curve, fly to the end, and disappear.
Curve Objects:
To add the bats in your 3d scenes, you can edit the curve handles, and extrude out the curve, to create the path of the bats. The bats will fly along the curve and rotate when the curve rotates.
Bat Models:
Inside the Blender file is a collection with 8 different low poly textured bat models, with slightly different sizes and animation offsets. The bats wings are animated with shape keys, and are pre-animated, but you can re-animate the wings if you want by animating the flapping wings shape key on the bat models. The bat models are low poly so that you can add hundreds of bats without slowing down the Blender file.
Render Engine:
This product works great in both Cycles and Eevee. The product animation was rendered in Cycles. Its recommended to turn on motion blur to make the animation look much more realistic.
